Thirty years ago Nashville’s rock scene was not the thriving hotbed it is known for today. In fact, it was barely hanging on life support. Enter Chagall Guevara, part of a fresh cast of music makers—recent arrivals to “the Music City.” Oblivious to the low bar of expectation for rock bands, the group set its sights on getting noticed by record companies in Los Angeles and New York.
